About This Project
This project was part of an official scoring competition for the Westworld Season 3, organised in collaboration with Spitfire Audio. Participants were invited to download a scene from the series and create an original score, reinterpreting the narrative through their own musical perspective.
The competition attracted over 11,000 entries worldwide, showcasing a wide range of styles and creative approaches. Submissions were reviewed by an industry-leading panel including the show’s composer Ramin Djawadi, creators Jonathan Nolan and Lisa Joy, as well as executive producer J. J. Abrams.
My Contribution
I composed an original score for the selected scene, focusing on aligning the music closely with the narrative pacing and emotional tone of Westworld. The approach combined atmospheric textures with precise musical timing to support key visual moments and transitions.
Working within the established aesthetic of the series, I explored ways to balance subtle tension, futuristic sound design, and melodic elements, ensuring the score felt both cohesive with the world of the show and distinctive in its interpretation.
