About This Project
Q Days by Yogurt Maybe is a genre-blending track shaped by the band’s roots in 90s alternative rock, pop songwriting, and neo-soul influences. Originally formed as a bedroom project, Yogurt Maybe approach composition as an exploration between styles, creating music that sits in the space between genres rather than within a single one.
The track was written during the COVID-19 quarantine period, reflecting themes of isolation, introspection, and emotional uncertainty, which are translated through its tone, arrangement, and overall sonic character.
My Contribution
I was responsible for music production and mixing, working closely with the band to shape the track’s identity while preserving its organic and exploratory nature.
This involved balancing contrasting influences, refining the arrangement, and creating a cohesive mix that supports the emotional context of the piece. The focus was on maintaining clarity and depth while allowing the genre-blending elements to coexist naturally within the final sound.
